Influenced by the southern California sound of the '70's with a touch of blues and slide guitar.
After years of writing, home recording and gigging, David Starr has debuted with Broken 9. Songs about life, love and the occasional scoundrel are found on this offering.
The songs on this CD were recorded over a period of three years and span a time of change and reflection in the artists life.

David Starr is a native of the fertile R & B club scene of Fayetteville, Arkansas. He has spent time as a part of the Aspen, Colorado scene as well.
He now resides in Cedaredge, Colorado on the states' western slope.
Influences are as varied as the Cate Brothers, The Band, Todd Rundgren, The Eagles, JD Souther and Steely Dan.

While he began his musical journey as a drummer at age 10, Starr now plays all instruments, sings all vocal parts and performs all engineering tasks on the two CDs for sale on this site.

Starr also operates Starr's Guitars on Main Street in beautiful Cedaredge.
